About the Role

As a Medical Lead at Grünenthal, you will be responsible for providing medical and scientific expertise to all GRT activities and ensuring effective cross-functional working. You will develop and implement the brand-aligned Medical strategy, including the delivery of relevant clinical insights, internal and external scientific product presentations and training, external advisory board meetings and symposia & communication Plan.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide medical and scientific expertise to all GRT activities and ensure effective cross-functional working
- Development and implementation of the brand-aligned Medical strategy including the delivery of relevant clinical insights, internal and external scientific product presentations and training, external advisory board meetings and symposia & communication Plan
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with key external experts, HCPs, government authorities, funding bodies and other entities, and provide relevant medical support to the value dossier and product access strategy
- Raise disease awareness internally and externally through field visit, HCP interaction, and provide relevant internal and external training and scientific meeting & presentation
- Organize medical event, medical symposia & communication, leading scientific local publication on the disease or products
- Be the most relevant partner to scientific professional societies and patient advocacy groups for collaboration and raising disease awareness
- Be responsible of the RWE generation local plan and implementation, collect and implement IIT and manage the investigator relationship and achievement till the publication of the results. Ensure the country participation to the PIII Global R&D Program
- Be responsible for the line management and development of all members of the Medical Affairs function (e.g. Medical Scientific Liaisons and Medical Advisor(s) including recruitment, appraisal, performance management, development and talent retention
- Ensure we act in compliance with Grünenthal's Code of Conduct and local regulations. Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials
- Adhere, develop, maintain and implement Medical Standard Operating Procedures. Be responsible of the Medical SOPs, Internal & External Audit and alignment with the Global corporate key function
- Develop Gallia cluster Mindset, be responsible of Medical budget management, optimization strategy
Manage the Medical Information local enquiries/PV and reporting with the Medical Information Manager

Requirements

- Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit,
- Medical and clinical understanding of pain
- MD or Bachelor degree in Health Sciences or related discipline with a minimum 7-10 years industry experience in a medical affairs role
- Previous experience in managing teams
- Ideally, with experience in pain/ opioid substance/Rheumatology and CNS therapy areas
- Dutch and Fluency in Business English
- Demonstrated governance experience, including SOPs, codes of conduct, approval of activities/materials
Appropriate computer skills and working knowledge of standard software tools
