We are seeking a highly motivated master's student in Physics or Electrical Engineering to join our Tribology and Electrostatics research group at ASML. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the investigation of particle/surface interaction and develop innovative solutions to improve our product portfolio.
Your AssignmentAs an intern, you will be responsible for conducting a literature review on particle-induced discharges in a uniform direct current (DC) field within a deep vacuum system. Your tasks will include:
- Developing a numerical model to predict particle interactions
- Creating a transfer function to optimize particle and material properties
- Collaborating with experienced experimentalists to form your hypothesis, model validation, and hands-on experience with high voltage test setups
To be a match for this internship, you should have:
- A master's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Photonics or Electronics
- Proficiency in tooling like MATLAB and/or COMSOL
- A solution-oriented mindset and hands-on approach
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
