Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Equipment Supervisor to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical specialists in creating, maintaining, and managing our equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical specialists to ensure the effective management of our equipment fleet.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate equipment projects to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including NEN3140.
  • Align team goals with company objectives and drive performance improvement.
  • Organize proper staffing of engineers to provide adequate levels of technical expertise.
  • Prioritize work and resources across the team to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Improve team effectiveness and contribute to company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members to ensure their professional development.
  • Act as a liaison between development and production teams to ensure smooth design transfer and life cycle management.
Requirements
  • University degree in a technical area or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a high-tech industry environment in service, development, or manufacturing.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in a manufacturing, technical support, or service management role.
  • Proven experience in equipment fleet management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Experience in tooling design process, including requirements, test specifications, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in compliance with safety regulations, specifically NEN3140.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (local language preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop people via mentoring and coaching.
  • Working knowledge of project management, data analysis, and resource planning.
  • Demonstrated experience with effective issue management and high-pressure situations.
