Immunohistochemistry Analyst

Your Role

As an Immunohistochemistry Analyst, you will be part of one of the subunits within the pathology department, focusing primarily on the diagnostics of malignant tumors. Quality is paramount, as the outcomes of your work significantly influence the most appropriate treatment plans for patients. You will play a vital role in overseeing daily diagnostic processes and collaborate with a dedicated team of analysts to ensure continuous improvement and development. Your responsibilities as an Immunohistochemistry Analyst include:

- Conducting immunohistochemical staining using an automated system.
- Performing technical evaluations of immunohistochemical stains with a light microscope.
- Managing laboratory documentation through a laboratory management system.
- Engaging in quality system activities related to ISO certification, such as drafting SOPs and validation reports.
- Participating in one of the other subunits for one or more half-days per week.
- Depending on your knowledge and skills, your responsibilities may expand to include:
o Managing the control system.
o Validating antibodies.
o Organizing quality round robins.

Additionally, as an analyst, you will contribute to the enhancement and automation of current techniques and their implementation.

You are a driven and results-oriented analyst with a keen eye for detail. You hold a relevant qualification at MBO/HBO level. You value critically assessing your own work and proposing improvements. You work meticulously and analytically. You integrate easily into a new team and can quickly grasp the tasks at hand. You are collegial and possess strong communication skills. You are flexible and service-oriented, with a focus on patient care. Proficiency in the Dutch language is required. Experience in immunohistochemistry within a diagnostic context is an advantage.

The foundation of your employment conditions is in accordance with the CAO hospitals. The salary for this position varies based on experience, ranging from €2,000 to a maximum of €4,000 gross per month based on a full-time workweek. This aligns with the FWG job scale. You will receive 8% vacation pay and a fixed year-end bonus of 8%. Travel expense reimbursement of €0.19 per km. A contract for a duration of one year.
