Senior Enterprise Risk Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Risk Manager to join our team at Triodos Bank, a leading expert in sustainable banking.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting us in setting and realizing our mission and strategy by contributing to the timely identification, assessment, and management of enterprise relevant risks.

You will engage in both 'run' and 'change' activities and processes from a risk management and control perspective within your field of responsibility.

  • You will be responsible for further developing and implementing strategic risk management, taking into account senior management guidance.
  • You will perform research and analysis on strategically relevant topics and report and advise on these at senior management level.
  • You will be involved in recurring ERM topics, including Risk Appetite, Strategic Risk Assessments, and the Corporate cycle.
  • You will take on responsibility for part of the overarching enterprise risk management policies and processes and their implementation.
  • You will actively participate in risk governance bodies and initiate conversations with senior management and other stakeholders within the field of enterprise risk.
  • You will engage in enterprise-relevant change programs from a 2nd line perspective and deliver solicited and unsolicited advice or opinions.

  • Hold an academic degree in a relevant direction and have extensive enterprise-risk-related experience.
  • Be a professional in the field of risk management with thorough knowledge and understanding of the regulatory context.
  • Have strong communication skills (both verbally and in writing) and a well-developed sense of organizational relationships and sensitivities.
  • Approach and work in a structured way, striking the right balance between detail and overview.
About Our Team

You will be joining a concise and dedicated expert team within the ERM department, working closely with two other enterprise risk managers.

All enterprise risk managers report to the group director ERM, who in turn reports to the CRO.
