Job Title: Digital ASIC Design Engineer

Imec is seeking a highly skilled Digital ASIC Design Engineer to join our team in Eindhoven, Netherlands. As a key member of our IC-design team, you will be responsible for designing innovative digital architectures for signal processing in IoT, Life Science, and medical/implantable applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define concepts and architectures for next-generation ICs for IoT and Health applications.
  • Take responsibility for the design of high-performance, ultra-low-power digital signal processing modules.
  • Collaborate with digital back-end team for synthesis and P&R.
  • Verification (including mixed-signal simulations and developing analog behavioral models).
  • Define your own plan, manage it over time, and discuss it with stakeholders.
  • Validate your own designs experimentally in a lab environment.
  • Collaborate in an inter-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to high-quality reports and documentation.
Requirements:
  • MSc or PhD in electronics engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with digital circuit design in (System) Verilog.
  • Experience with revisioning systems, like git.
  • Experience with digital verification is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of at least a few of the remaining steps of the digital ASIC-design flow.
  • Experience with scripting languages like TCL, Matlab, and Python.
  • Knowledge of FPGA-development flow/environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of low-power design concepts and techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with Cadence IC design tools is a plus.
