Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Division. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring the delivery of precise and high-quality financial reports. Your extensive expertise in accounting will support the Head of Accounting and the team in maintaining compliance with both Japanese GAAP and IFRS standards across multiple European offices.

As an Accounting Specialist, you will:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of financial accounting, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and implement effective accounting procedures, aiming to minimize manual processes and enhance automation.
  • Collaborate with various departments and international branches to ensure accurate and timely financial closings.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Conduct financial analyses and prepare reports on key accounting topics.
  • Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and ensure compliance with SOX regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration.
  • At least 6 years of experience in financial accounting or reporting, preferably within the banking sector.
  • Proficiency in multi-GAAP environments and experience with accounting hubs or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Integrity, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
