Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Development and Scale-up Expert to join our team at Corbion. As a key member of our Process Technology group, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing downstream processes for our food, biochemical, and algae business.
About the Role
As a Process Development and Scale-up Expert, you will engage in a broad range of activities aimed at delivering innovative solutions for process design, development, and optimization. You will work closely with our R&D team to develop new processes and technologies, and collaborate with our operations team to implement these processes at industrial scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize downstream processes for our food, biochemical, and algae business
- Collaborate with R&D team to develop new processes and technologies
- Work with operations team to implement processes at industrial scale
- Lead or support scale-up, implementation, optimization, and cost reduction of new or existing processes and products
- Prepare, lead, and execute pilot and demo scale production runs
- Translate technology challenges of commercial plants to lab-scale trials
- Support or lead troubleshooting in case of problems in our plant facilities
- Ensure documentation and reporting of procedures and results according to Corbion standards
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in process development and scale-up. You should have a Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field, such as chemical engineering, biotechnology, or food technology, and at least 5 years of industrial experience. You should also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
