Production Operations Manager

Mackin Talent is seeking an experienced Production Team Lead to oversee production operations, particularly in the lens production and incoming goods areas. This is a new role, where you will ensure production processes run smoothly, align with organisational expectations, and lead a team of operators in their daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee production processes to ensure they meet organisational standards and expectations.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of operators in the cleanroom, ensuring they have the necessary resources (e.g., consumables) and support.
- Plan and manage holiday schedules and team shifts, ensuring smooth handovers between shifts.
- Optimise workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Take ownership of 6S (workplace organisation) and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring best practices are implemented and maintained.
- Update and improve work instructions to ensure clarity and alignment with production goals.
- Serve as the main link between operators and management, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Proven experience in a production environment with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and operational excellence.
- Experience in 3D printing is a plus but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules, shifts, and team coordination.
- Experience with 6S or similar workplace organisation systems, with the ability to implement and maintain these practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a positive and productive team environment.
