Financial Operations Manager for Avantium Renewable Polymers

Avantium Renewable Polymers is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee all financial activities related to our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all financial activities within the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard plant assets and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant management and cross-functional teams to develop annual operating budgets and long-term strategic plans.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Analyze variances between actual performance and budgeted/forecasted figures, and provide recommendations to address any discrepancies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial management software (e.g., BC365, SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
