Job Title: Legal Expert Business and Private Banking

About the Role

We are seeking a Legal Expert with a focus on investments and private banking to join our team at ING Netherlands. As a Legal Expert, you will be part of the Legal Department, which advises on various product areas, including payments, mortgages, consumer loans, business lending, private banking, restructuring, and investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise and support internal clients within ING Netherlands on private banking and investments.
  • Provide legal advice on various aspects of financial regulatory law, including ESG-related matters, contract law, and securities law.
  • Handle client complaints and advise on or support legal proceedings in court and at Kifid.
  • Work with colleagues in the ING Netherlands Risk organization to identify, assess, and manage non-financial risks.
Requirements
  • Dutch University degree in Law.
  • Proficient in Dutch and English (both in writing and verbally).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience within a financial institution, a supervisor, and/or a law firm.
  • Affinity with financial law and securities law (such as Wft/MiFID/MiFIR, PRIIPS, UCITS, AIFMD).
