Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Ship Design Engineer to join our team at Vuyk Engineering. As a key member of our vessel design department, you will be responsible for creating 3D models and 2D designs for various types of vessels using software like Autocad, Nupas, and Rhino.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop functional designs for hull constructions, taking into account weight, building procedures, and maintenance requirements.
  • Perform construction calculations, drawings, and general arrangements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from the vessel design department, equipment design, and marine operations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Design and model vessels according to requirements from classification societies and authorities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Engineering, Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant requirements from classification societies and authorities.
  • Experience with engineering and design tools like Nupas and Autocad.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, with a focus on CAD and 3D modeling.
