Gallery Communications Coordinator

We are an internationally recognized art gallery representing talented artists and designers. Our collection features a unique blend of contemporary art and limited-edition design.

We are seeking a highly motivated Gallery Communications Coordinator to join our team. This is a hands-on role that requires strong communication and PR skills.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in daily operations, ensuring effective communication between the gallery, artists, and partners. Key tasks include:

• Providing support in daily operations and maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders
• Contacting fair organizations and delivering PR information
• Updating and maintaining our website and online art platforms
• Managing social media presence (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn)
• Writing and producing content for gallery events (press releases, PR pitches, invitations)
• Dealing with media inquiries and establishing relationships with press

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• 3rd or 4th year student in Communications/PR or similar degree
• Professional outlook, independence, dedication, energy, and pro-activity
• Interest in art and design
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends for exhibition openings
• Good command of English (spoken and written), with other languages (French, Spanish) being a plus
• Experience with Wordpress and Mailchimp is a plus
• Ability to work independently and proactively

Please note that availability of at least 4 months with 32 hours per week is preferred, and hours are negotiable. Starting date is September 2024.
