The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Tactical Purchaser to join our team at Royal IHC, responsible for the procurement process on a tactical level for our Offshore Energy projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with experience in managing long-term relationships with suppliers and improving supplier performance.

As a Tactical Purchaser, you will work closely with our team of tactical and operational purchasers to ensure the sourcing and delivery of all materials required for our projects.

You will also be involved in creating and maintaining the procurement strategy and procedures for our Offshore Energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the primary focal point within the project for suppliers on all aspects related to the procurement package.
  • Developing a sourcing strategy in a team for a specific product range within the PMG Offshore Energy.
  • Improving delivery performance for project-based materials.
  • Participating in the procurement process, including Request for Quotation, Evaluation, Contracting, and Expediting.
  • Defining negotiation strategies with the Manager Procurement.
  • Managing the execution of project procurement technically and commercially.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of engineering or economics.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in procurement within the Hydraulic, Offshore, Marine, or similar business.
  • Technical knowledge of hydraulics is a plus.
  • Experience with procurement processes.
  • Proactive behavior and ability to work independently.
  • Tactical-minded, good communicator, structured, and willing to take initiative.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

  • A gross monthly salary between €3620,- and €5279,- +8% holiday allowance.
