As a Precision Mechanics Architect, you will be instrumental in the advancement of cutting-edge systems. Your role encompasses the intricate development of mechanisms that operate under extreme conditions, such as ultra-low and ultra-high vacuum environments, while ensuring precise positioning and rapid movements.

Your Enthusiasm as a Precision Mechanics Architect

Your contributions are crucial in shaping complex business scenarios and technical strategies from a mechanical standpoint within a multidisciplinary framework. You will work in close collaboration with clients, fellow architects, project managers, account managers, and the entire project team to maintain alignment and foster synergy.

Your expertise is centered on translating client requirements into detailed specifications, establishing the mechanical architecture, budgets, and conceptual designs for (sub)systems. You will define testing and integration criteria to complete the V cycle, ensuring the quality of the delivered design is a primary responsibility.

Moreover, you will actively cultivate both internal and external networks, nurturing relationships that enhance the growth and success of the organization. You will be at the forefront of adopting new technologies and solutions, driving innovation, and expanding the boundaries of what is achievable.

Your Qualifications

You should identify with the following profile:

  • A MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • A proven history in Precision Mechanics within high-tech system and/or equipment design.
  • At least 10 years of experience, with 15 years for senior roles, in designing mechatronic and precision systems and equipment.
  • A broad perspective, understanding how your mechanical expertise integrates into the larger multidisciplinary context.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to work at various levels of abstraction.
  • Proficient in various analytical methods.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A technical leader and an inspirational coach for team members.
  • A solid theoretical and practical foundation in technical designs, mechanisms, precision mechanics, and Design for Excellence.
