Job Summary

As a Functional Test Engineer at Yacht, you will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and analysis of functional engine test activities for various engine development projects. You will collaborate with specialists within project teams, providing expert opinions and helping to identify and reduce risks.


• Prepare and execute functional tests or investigations on engine sub-systems/components and their controls.


• Coordinate test set-up and execution.


• Evaluate and report test results.


• Focus on engine mechanics and mechatronics.


• Maintain existing Engine Test Standards under your responsibility.


• Develop new test procedures for engine components and engine systems and their controls.


• Contribute to improving test efficiency and quality.


• Collaborate in project teams.


• Work closely with the System Integration team, Line Lead Engineers, and Performance Lead Engineers.


• Report directly to the Engineering Supervisor System Integration.


• Align daily with other Line- and Project Managers.


• Develop experience in measurement techniques for temperature, pressure, flow, and data analysis.


• Deal with complex engine systems and development of solutions for technical challenges.


• Good English skills are mandatory, Dutch skills are a plus.


• Able to work in a complex project-oriented environment.


• Contract through Yacht for at least 1 year, following the salary chart of DAF Trucks.


• Salary range depends on highest earned degree and years of experience, between € 4,200,- and € 6,200,- gross per month.


• Benefits include a home office budget of € 750,- and annually a budget of € 3,500,- for following courses to further develop in your career.
