About the Role
As a Sourcing Manager - Electronics, you will be responsible for sourcing highly complex and innovative technologies for cutting-edge projects. You will develop and drive the execution of the Category Strategy, ensuring commercial and technological excellence while minimizing risk on quality and logistical levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-define and execute the short- and long-term strategy for your category.
- Engage with and support Program-teams to drive business priorities such as supply continuity, cost, quality, and technology advancement.
- Manage regular contact with strategic suppliers.
- Drive and lead commercial and contractual negotiations.
- Take the lead in escalations and support the SQE and purchasing team when needed.
- Act as a coach/mentor to Sourcing colleagues in situations like escalations and in processes like strategy development.
- Lead business reviews with suppliers to drive strategic objectives and manage performance.
- Develop the category supply base, identify the need for incremental and decremental suppliers.
- Scout and develop new suppliers and phase out redundant suppliers.
Requirements
- BSc, BEng, or MSc degree, technical or business-oriented.
- Team player with strong communication skills (English is essential).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, up to executive level.
- Supplier relationship management proficiency, able to demand strongly in a constructive manner.
- Entrepreneurial combined with a win-win attitude.
- Able to obtain buy-in from internal stakeholders.
