Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and creative Embedded Electrical Engineer to become part of our dynamic team in Eindhoven. The successful candidate will focus on the design and engineering of fully automated testing setups for our production line products. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both electrical engineering and embedded software development, emphasizing a multi-disciplinary approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automated testing setups for products manufactured at Prodrive Technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware developers, and project managers, to establish requirements and specifications for testing systems.
  • Create embedded software to control and automate testing setups, ensuring high reliability and accuracy.
  • Design hardware components such as circuit boards, sensors, and interfaces to facilitate automated testing.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and validation testing to confirm the performance and functionality of testing setups.
  • Optimize testing systems for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, considering throughput and resource utilization.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production teams, addressing issues related to testing setups.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in embedded systems and automated testing, applying insights to enhance processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in embedded systems design and development, focusing on hardware and software integration.
  • Proficient in embedded software development languages such as C/C++ and Python, along with microcontroller programming.
  • Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design and PCB layout.
  • Experience in system-level thinking and translating requirements into effective solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Self-driven with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
