Lobby Host Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Lobby Host to join our team at Marriott International.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Services: Ensure proper coverage and execution throughout all zones of the lobby. Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services, such as transportation, reservations, and dry cleaning.
  • Room Management: Process guest check-ins, verify guest identity, request payment, and assign rooms. Activate room keys using electronic key machines and reissue new room keys as necessary.
  • Communication: Speak to guests and coworkers using clear, appropriate, and professional language. Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette and transfer calls to the correct person or department.
  • Quality Assurance: Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma: Required
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Required
  • Previous Hospitality Experience: Preferred

Working Conditions: The Lobby Host will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with guests and coworkers. The ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period is required. The physical demands of the job include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
