Job Title: Lead Developer

About the Role:

Aegon Asset Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Developer to join our team. As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development of software applications and ensuring that they meet the required standards of quality, functionality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of software applications, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product owners, and architects, to ensure that software applications meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user manuals.
  • Identify and prioritize technical issues and implement solutions to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of software applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve software development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, cloud services, and cloud security.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of developers.
