Role Overview

The Contract Manager role at Wärtsilä is a critical position that requires a customer-focused and service-oriented individual. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing long-term maintenance agreement activities within the Netherlands to ensure customer satisfaction and meet set quality, financial, cost, and time targets.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned maintenance agreements
• Proactive customer communication
• Lead and coach the Agreement Contract core team
• Execute assigned contracts in accordance with Wärtsilä guidelines to ensure that the contract management process and general management practices are done safely and efficiently and exceed customer expectations
• Follow up and maintain customer satisfaction and ensure that agreed actions are taken
• Follow up financial, operative, and technical performance through reviews and reporting and taking necessary corrective actions

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a background/education in a technical/commercial area, with at least five years of experience in contract management and/or sales, project delivery, or field service. Native Dutch and excellent knowledge of English, both written and oral, are also essential. Proven technical experience in marine operations, internal combustion engine experience in marine operations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and skilled in planning, target setting, and reporting are also required. Wärtsilä knowledge and business understanding, as well as contract management and process knowledge, are also necessary.
