Job Title: Shipdesign EngineerAs a Shipdesign Engineer at Vuyk Engineering, you'll be working on 3D modelling and 2D designs for complex vessels. Based on designs from our naval architects, FEM engineers, and system engineers, you'll set up functional designs for hull construction taking weight, building procedures, and maintenance into account. You'll work closely with your project team and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating 3D models and 2D designs for various vessels using software like Autocad, Nupas, and Rhino
- Sets up functional designs for hull constructions considering weight, building procedures, and maintenance
- Collaborates with colleagues from vessel design, equipment design, and marine operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime engineering, Shipbuilding, Mechanical engineering, or comparable
- Experience with engineering and design tools like Nupas and Autocad
- About 3 years' experience in a similar position and a willingness to develop in engineering, with a focus on CAD and 3D modelling
