Job Summary

Oxford Global Resources is seeking an experienced Research Scientist to join our team in the Rotterdam area. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining chromatography equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex analyses using HPLC, GC, and other instrumental methods
  • Receive, prepare, and process samples for laboratory testing using pre-defined protocols
  • Conduct inspections for new processes or product properties using laboratory equipment and analytical methods
  • Troubleshoot equipment based on feedback from Quality Control
  • Develop new methods and techniques for analyzing samples
  • Maintain inventory control for laboratory supplies
  • Interpret and document test results, and communicate internal results verbally or in writing as needed

Requirements

  • Completed HLO or MSc degree in the chemical field
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a chemical laboratory
  • Experience with HPLC / GC is a must
  • Experience with method development and troubleshooting required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and directly, and provide structured reasons for optimization steps
  • Proactive and eager to learn
  • Dutch residency and work permit required

Terms of Employment

  • Employment: 1 year contract through Oxford Global Resources
  • Salary indication: From approximately € 2500 to € 3900 gross per month
  • Working hours: 40h, day shift
  • Region: Rotterdam area
