Job Description
As a Senior Integrated Project Planner at Damen Naval, you will play a critical role in planning the end-to-end construction of cutting-edge naval vessels. This is a complex endeavor involving tens of thousands of activities and numerous interdependencies. Your resource-loaded project planning, built in Primavera P6, will serve as the guiding framework throughout the entire construction process, from ideation and design to production and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive baseline project plan in collaboration with Project Managers, Team Leaders, and subcontractors, ensuring all activities and interdependencies are accounted for.
- Initiate and implement improvement processes to mitigate challenges at specific project stages, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Compile and manage project data for multi-project planning (portfolio), ensuring effective coordination and resource allocation.
- Lead the logistics team to ensure all project requirements are met efficiently, optimizing supply chain and resource management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in project planning using Oracle Primavera P6, ideally within the shipbuilding or manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of developing and managing complex project plans with tens of thousands of activities and interdependencies.
- Strong knowledge of resource-loaded project planning and multi-project planning (portfolio).
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and ensuring smooth collaboration between IT, engineering, and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in engaging stakeholders and securing their buy-in for project changes and improvements.
