About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team at Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam. As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the integral coordination of projects within the execution of ship repair or conversion projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HSSE standards, by yourself and the assigned personnel.
  • Receive and discuss project scope with the Project Manager and Work Preparator, including technical feasibility and contractually agreed-upon time and budget.
  • Develop the execution plan for the project based on the project scope, in consultation with the Production Pool Coordinator, and coordinate the deployment of personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinate the execution of the project, including the deployment of multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the quality and progress of the work.
  • Report any deviations from the planned execution, including time, personnel, and quality, to the project team and contribute to the administration of hours and budget.
  • Assist and support the operational execution of the project as needed.
  • Attend internal and external project meetings and initiate additional meetings as necessary.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of work planning and production methods.
Requirements
  • A minimum of MBO (4) level education and relevant work experience.
  • A completed technical education, such as WTB or Shipbuilding, supplemented by specific function-oriented training and several years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in multiple technical disciplines, enabling the determination of production methods, control of work, and resolution of daily problems.
  • Familiarity with applications and methods, enabling the creation of work plans and administration of hours, budget, and other resources.
  • Ability to extract relevant information from the budget and determine the correct work sequence, as well as to coordinate different disciplines within a project.
  • Proficiency in the English language, enabling effective communication with personnel on board ships and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with all relevant regulations, including labor, environmental, and safety regulations, and the personnel handbook.
