Job Title: Tax Controller

At Applied Medical, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Controller to join our team. As a Tax Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance for corporate income tax, wage tax, VAT, and customs. You will also support the personnel and payroll team in payroll tax-related questions and the finance and admin teams in VAT-related questions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure tax compliance for corporate income tax, wage tax, VAT, and customs
  • Support the personnel and payroll team in payroll tax-related questions
  • Support the finance and admin teams in VAT-related questions
  • Review income tax returns before final submission to governmental agencies
  • Proactively contribute to tax awareness in the organization
  • Assist in European tax audits
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Tax, Finance, and/or Accounting
  • Knowledge of European Tax Law is required, with the ability to apply this knowledge to tax laws in different European countries
  • 2-3 years of work experience in an international tax department is preferred
  • Ability to analyze financial data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Good oral and written communication skills in another European language such as Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, or German are preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting is preferred
