Space Systems Quality Assurance Specialist

Serco is seeking a skilled Management System Support Engineer to join our team at the esteemed ESA-ESTEC site in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities:- Laboratories Quality Assurance Support: Provide quality assurance support to the TEC laboratories, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.
- Maintenance and Operation of QMS: Maintain and operate the TEC Laboratories Quality and Safety Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards.
- ISO-9001 and Certifications: Serve as the focal point for ISO-9001 and other certifications for TEC laboratories.
- Quality and Safety Coordination: Coordinate, monitor, and report quality and safety-related aspects.
- Management Reviews: Organize and prepare management reviews input data.
- Safety Processes: Ensure the proper functioning of safety processes applied in all TEC laboratories.
- Safety and Risk Assessments: Support preparation and coordination of safety- and risk assessments and dependability analyses.
- Liaison with ESTEC Health, Safety, and Environmental Unit: Liaise with the ESTEC Health, Safety, and Environmental Unit.
- Audit Programme: Organize an effective implementation of the laboratories audit programme and support audits.
- Audit Findings: Coordinate and follow-up of audit findings and related actions in internal tools.
- Non-Conformance Review Boards: Organize and support the Non-Conformance review boards within the laboratories, conduct root-cause and extent analyses, and contribute to the definition of action plans.
- QMS Documentation: Organize and complete the regular review and timely update of QMS documentation.
- Sharepoint QMS Site: Administer and maintain the laboratories Sharepoint QMS site.
- Liaison with QMS Coordinators: Liaise with the QMS coordinators of TEC.
- Maintenance, Calibration, and Repair: Monitor the maintenance, calibration, and repair activities within the scope of the laboratories.
- Risks and Safety Assessments: Support the laboratories in risks- and safety assessments for testing-related activities.
- Test Execution: Ensure that the test execution is executed in line with the TEC QMS.
- Quality and Safety Tools: Support the development of tools to follow-up quality and safety aspects in the laboratories.
- Master's or PhD Degree: Master's or PhD degree, or an equivalent qualification in industrial engineering, economics, and/or business administration.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional work experience, preferably in the space domain, including 4 years in Product and Quality Assurance.
- Process Engineering Experience: Relevant professional work experience in process engineering, preferably in the space domain, as well as exposure to engineering concepts.
- Quality Audits: Experience leading quality audits, in particular with regards to ECSS standards and other international standards.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills are needed, together with a high degree of organizational and communication abilities, and comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment.
- Language Skills: Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
