Job Summary
The HKU is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer/Software Developer to join its HCMS Team in the Information Technology Services. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining HR-related applications and projects on digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze user requirements to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-based IT systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform system analysis, integration, testing, and data analysis to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and maintain HR-related applications and projects on digital transformation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Solid experience in enterprise application customization, development, and support, and system analysis, integration, testing, and data analysis.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies, including Power App, Power Pages, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agent.
- Oracle PeopleSoft HRMS and PeopleTools development.
- Web & app programming (Java Servlet, PHP), web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax), and UNIX Shell scripts.
- Database programming such as PL/SQL, JDBC with Oracle database.
- System integration especially for Oracle PeopleSoft ERP, with REST API, JSON, etc.
- Software development lifecycle and methodologies.
