The Diabetes Operating Unit is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals within the global diabetes community. Key Responsibilities

• Employ robust statistical methodologies to conduct research related to the product life cycle. In the development phase, prepare the statistical components of protocols that align with project goals, regulatory standards, and clinical trial methodologies. Draft the statistical analysis plan for the study.

• Utilize statistical expertise to design clinical studies, ensuring that objectives are attainable. This includes calculating sample sizes and power, as well as establishing appropriate design assumptions.

• Develop, plan, and implement data management strategies for clinical research initiatives.

• Create, assess, and refine software programs to analyze clinical and medical device data.

• Identify discrepancies and initiate solutions for data-related issues. Execute data management strategies that align with project timelines and protocol requirements. Coordinate and conduct programming for database manipulations, data transfers, and analyses for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Summarize and interpret data into formats that adhere to statistical inference principles, and oversee the statistical sections of reports detailing studies, outcomes, and methodologies employed.

• Recognize potential risks to study integrity and validity, collaborating with the study team to mitigate, monitor, and address potential challenges.

• Analyze statistical and clinical results, ensuring that regulatory submissions, reports, and manuscripts accurately reflect the data collected.

• Draft the Results and Methods sections of clinical reports, abstracts, and manuscripts as necessary.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.

• Demonstrated senior-level experience in Statistics or Biostatistics.

• Comprehensive understanding of statistical methodologies in clinical trials and real-world data analysis.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Extensive programming proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, and/or Python.

• Excellent communication skills and a positive demeanor.

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced skills in regression modeling, longitudinal analysis (including mixed models), simulations, interim analysis, strategies for missing data, multiple testing strategies, and real-world evidence.

• Experience with Matlab, Java, or Tableau.

• Relevant background in the medical device sector.
