Digital Refugee Support Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic volunteer to join our WhatsApp Helpline team as a Digital Refugee Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide essential information and support to individuals who have fled or migrated to the Netherlands, ensuring they receive trustworthy guidance on their rights and possibilities.
As a Digital Refugee Support Specialist, you will work from home, answering questions received on the WhatsApp Helpline and seeking relevant information to provide accurate responses. You will also collaborate with aid and support organizations to verify information and provide referrals when necessary.
This is a flexible volunteer opportunity that can be easily combined with studies or other commitments, with shifts scheduled online between 12:00 and 20:00, including weekends. We value diversity and welcome applicants from various backgrounds, regardless of their cultural background, physical limitations, gender identity, religious beliefs, orientation, or age.
In return, we offer a dynamic working environment where you will work alongside a team of volunteers and professionals. You will also have access to work-related trainings and the opportunity to develop your skills in providing digital humanitarian aid. Additionally, you will have the chance to connect with people who have fled or migrated to the Netherlands, gaining insight into the challenges they face.
The estimated salary for this position is around €1,500-€2,000 per month, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience. However, please note that this is a volunteer opportunity, and the primary reward is the satisfaction of making a meaningful contribution to the lives of others.
