Sustainability Specialist: Regional Environmental Impact Manager

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Specialist to join our team as a Regional Environmental Impact Manager. This role will be based in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, or Ireland and involve regular travel throughout Europe.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining environmental management systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, customer needs, and company standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Development and maintenance of environmental management systems and procedures.
  • Data collection, calculation, analysis, and presentation of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory (Scope 1, 2, and 3).
  • Supporting digitalization of our carbon footprint.
  • Secure customer requirements for annual reporting of qualitative and quantitative environmental data.

Additionally, the Regional Environmental Impact Manager will contribute to ongoing projects, such as tracking progress towards DP World's carbon neutrality goals, and empower QEHS regional teams by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages collaboration, and demonstrates flexibility.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A university degree in environmental or engineering field or similar.
  • Validated experience in data and reporting within sustainability, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Languages - fluent English, additional languages are a bonus, particularly German.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Environmental Management or specialist roles.
  • Strong carbon account competencies, in particular Scope 3 accounting.
  • Demonstrable skills in data handling in Excel.

We offer a market-competitive compensation package, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. The estimated salary for this role is €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
