Phyto Expert

Become part of Bayer, a global leader in the life science industry. We are seeking an experienced Phyto Specialist to join our team.

This position will be based in Enkhuizen and involves working with Dutch export and country of destination requirements to ensure first time-right creation of phytosanitary documents. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring training and full preparation of at least two people as full back up for their role, to manage risks such as Covid-19, urgencies, unplanned absences, and vacation time.

• Responsible for the first time-right creation of phytosanitary documents based on Dutch export and country of destination requirements.
• Point of contact for NvwA officials and internal questions.
• Keep yourself informed on all internal and external country requirements in a proactive way.
• Provide input for functional meetings.
• Liaise with covering authorities, e.g., Plantum, NvwA.
• Keep all internal and external stakeholders involved and up-to-date.
• Train phytosanitary coordinators on country-specific requirements and phyto creation.
• Seek opportunities for process and cost optimization to ensure efficient and lean processes (automation is key).
• Ensure that country-specific requirements are maintained properly within work instructions and procedures.
• Develop an up-to-date manual for Phyto creation.
• Participate in projects, cross-functional.

We are looking for a professional who possesses the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' experience with previous experience in Phyto and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience with Sales Order Processing Systems and familiarity with SAP (key user level).
• Good knowledge of Foreign trade, E-CERT, and STRATECH.
• Certificate of Good Conduct (VGB).
• Demonstrated success working in a multinational environment.
• Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
