Job Summary

AS Watson is seeking a highly skilled Front-end Development Lead to join our team. As a key member of our front-end development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex front-end stories using Angular, NGRX, RXJS, and Spartacus by SAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead the activities of the front-end development team, ensuring adherence to standards and guidelines.
  • Design and plan the development of complex front-end stories with the Delivery Manager.
  • Ensure the team writes clean, efficient code with proper code coverage, following industry best practices.
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members, conducting regular code reviews to maintain code quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts and Quality Assurance specialists.
  • Analyze, debug, and resolve issues on live environments, ensuring system robustness, resilience, and stability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end development trends, tools, and technologies, and integrate them into our development processes where appropriate.
  • Organize team activities and rearrange team roles according to the changing context.
  • Take responsibility for teaching the whole system to others.
  • Work with other teams to support all phases that precede and follow software development.
  • Be responsible for the growth of your team.

Requirements

  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar job role.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of working in eCommerce projects.
  • Strong understanding of Angular, NGRX, RXJS, and Spartacus commerce cloud by SAP.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with asynchronous request handling, SSR, CCR, and REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with CSS pre-processing platforms (e.g., LESS and SASS) and version control systems.
  • Knowledge of Java server-side programming technologies (e.g., JSP) is a plus.
  • Project management capabilities will be required.
  • Fluent in English and basic knowledge of Dutch language.
