Job Description:

The Sr Manager, Manufacturing will lead the Goods Received, Warehousing, and Production teams to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of Operations, DFS Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and leading a team of 25-30 fixed employees in following DFS values.
  • Ensuring Pick-Pack-Ship and Production meet planning and reporting daily results.
  • Securing and optimizing quality and cost/efficiency of products/services provided.
  • Closing interactions with Customer Service, Procurement, Expedition, Finance, and Engineering departments.
  • Maintaining EHS and Quality procedures/instructions and embracing an EHS and Quality culture.
  • Organizing Facility Management, including preventive measures, certifications, subcontractors, access to building, and alarm follow-up.
  • Tracking relevant KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvements and value addition to customers/clients.
  • Requesting, selecting, developing, and evaluating staff to ensure efficient operation of the function.
  • Warehouse management and cycle-counting.

Profile - Knowledge:

  • Direct people leadership experience of at least 8-10 years in a production environment.
  • Experience in working with productivity and methodology tools (e.g., Lean, Visual Management) to increase departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving tools/techniques (e.g., A3, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
  • Thorough working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent working knowledge and ability to use office software.
  • Good knowledge of how Operations works and what their needs are to meet and succeed customer needs.
  • English language required; preferred affinity with technique (mechanics, electronics, basic IT).

Salary Estimate:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum based on industry standards and location.
