EHS Specialist II

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist II to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our regulatory affairs team, you will play a critical role in supporting projects related to key strategic imperatives and providing regulatory support to internal and external customers.

• Support projects related to key strategic imperatives, including engagement with R&D teams to seek innovative solutions to reducing product and process hazards.
• Provide regulatory support to internal and external customers, including engagement with third-party service providers and procurement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies, objectives, plans, and procedures for chemical compliance programs.
• Participate in workflows facilitating shipment clearance and new product approvals.
• Engage in external customer communication processes and develop training on regulatory topics, including corporate standards for meeting the company's chemical compliance obligations.
• Maintain team extranet sites and support stakeholder communication programs.

• BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Law, or a related subject.
• Minimum 5 years of regulatory experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs, compliance, chemical consultancy, or risk assessment.
• Experience in EU REACH compliance, including ECHA activity tracking and substance volume tracking, and proficiency in IUCLID/REACH IT.
• Experience in UK REACH implementation, including DUIN submissions, and familiarity with Comply with UK REACH.
• Ability to read, interpret, and operationalize chemical regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Able to connect with all levels within the organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain calm, professional, and positive.
• Ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment with moderated supervision.
