Scientific Contributer

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Contributer to join our team at Triskelion. As a key member of our Business Unit Analytical Solutions, you will play a vital role in providing consultancy services to our clients.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess client inquiries and collaborate with them to determine the necessary analytical techniques. You will work closely with analysts and other scientists to conduct analyses, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong academic background in food science, analytical, or microbiological science, with at least 10 years of work experience in analytical/microbiological science. Excellent written and oral expression skills in Dutch and English are essential.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to be able to view problems from a helicopter perspective, be accurate, take initiative, and have a problem-solving attitude. A positive, energetic attitude and ability to inspire teammates are also crucial.

Occasionally, you may be required to work alternative hours in case of an emergency, and we expect you to be flexible and available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer questions into a suitable analysis plan using your knowledge of chemical analysis.
  • Proactively supervise analytical chemical laboratory work.
  • Draw conclusions from analytical results on the type and identity of the analyte.
  • Report results in a suitable manner to clients.
  • Communicate effectively and strategically with customers about project content and progress.
  • Manage analysts and collaborate with analytical scientists to develop new methods and techniques.

Requirements

  • Academic working and thinking level, with at least 10 years of work experience in analytical/microbiological science.
  • Good written and oral expression skills in Dutch and English.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with analytical chemical techniques.
  • Ability to view problems with a helicopter view.
  • You are accurate, take initiative, and have a problem-solving attitude.
  • Positive, energetic attitude and able to inspire teammates.

The Offer

  • A good base salary and flexible secondary employment conditions, including a good pension, 33 days holiday, 13th month, and 8% holiday allowance.
  • This is a full-time position (40 hours, 32 hours can be discussed) with the prospect of a permanent contract.
