About the Café Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic café team member to join our kitchen team at ARKET. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food and drinks to our customers.
Job Description Overview
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for food, a positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills. You will work closely with our team to maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and ensure that all food and drinks meet our high standards.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and actively attend to their orders, questions, and needs in a warm and genuine way.
- Prepare and provide food products at a consistently high standard, supporting your team with food prep and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and tidy café environment, both in the customer area and the workspace.
- Support the team in preparing recipes of cold and hot drinks, coffee, and non-coffee based beverages, at a consistently high standard.
- Promote the culture, values, and concept of the café as a whole.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- You have a clear understanding of 'clean-as-you-go' and HACCP rules and regulations applied to a kitchen environment.
- You are passionate about preparing food, the vegetarian lifestyle, and food sustainability.
- You have excellent customer service skills and enjoy attending guests with a constant high-quality customer service.
- You have organization skills: you are capable of keeping up to standard the cleanliness of working tools and working space.
- You have team working skills and enjoy working in a diverse team.
- You are able to work at a fast-paced environment while keeping high-quality standards.
- You take ownership of your role as Café Team Member and actively drive sales.
- You are reliable, flexible, and available on days with most customers (Fridays, Weekends).
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide training for personal development, staff discount & staff allowance, reward program, refreshments at work, and other benefits.
