About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lead Locomotive Maintenance Technician to join our team at Prior Group. As a key member of our train maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our locomotives.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks on our fleet of locomotives. This includes carrying out mechanical repairs, diagnosing faults, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks on our locomotives.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and diagnostic tests to identify faults.
  • Implement preventative measures to minimize downtime and ensure the safe operation of our fleet.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Knowledge of technical drawings and the ability to read blueprints.
