About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Lead to join our R&D team at OMRON. As a Group Lead, you will be responsible for leading innovation and driving the development of next-generation digital applications and integration with industrial PCs, robotics, AI, and vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Lead Innovation: Develop and lead the development of next-generation digital applications and integration with industrial PCs, robotics, AI, and vision.
  • Manage Multidisciplinary Projects: Manage multidisciplinary development projects, working closely with global marketing, key customers, regional Omron marketing and sales colleagues, and Omron.
  • Align Vision and Strategy: Align your vision, strategy, and roadmaps with global marketing, key customers, regional Omron marketing and sales colleagues, and Omron.
  • Go from Concept to Product: Take a concept from idea to product, working with international teams from different Omron locations.
  • Champion Product Portfolio: Become a champion of our product portfolio, technology, and development.

Requirements

  • Academic or Equivalent Degree: Hold an academic or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Relevant Work Experience: Have at least 10 years of work experience in relevant fields such as software development, system validation and verification.
  • Leadership Experience: Be seen as a natural leader in a team environment.
  • Agile Development Practices: Be familiar with Agile development practices like Scrum.
  • Language Skills: Be fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken).
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel occasionally to various Omron locations, technology partners, and key target customers.
