Abbott Weesp serves as a significant facility within the Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD), featuring modern manufacturing capabilities and several global EPD departments. Qualified personnel produce pharmaceutical raw materials daily, including laxatives, hormones, and vaccines.

We are currently seeking a:

Quality Assurance Specialist

The Specialist will perform a variety of tasks utilizing diverse methods and techniques, primarily adhering to established regulations and procedures.

Sampling, inspecting, and releasing components and stages of the process concerning ingredients, intermediate/final products, facilities, and equipment in accordance with guidelines from the quality system, ensuring that product and process quality meets safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Sampling: Collects and receives samples for the assigned area, identifies delays in delivery, assesses sample quality, and distributes accordingly.
  • Analysis/Research: Tests ingredients, intermediate/final products, facilities, or equipment, analyzes data, evaluates (complaint) samples, generates reports, and identifies deviations.
  • Release/Advice: Verifies execution and documentation, analyzes and interprets test results, assesses non-conforming test results, and subsequently approves or rejects components and process stages.
  • Standards: Manages work instructions, procedures, and protocols while ensuring their proper handling.
  • Inventory Management: Monitors relevant material inventory and places orders based on specifications with existing suppliers.
  • Documentation & Administration: Creates, reviews, and manages quality-related documents.
  • Safety, Health, and Environment: Adheres to safety, health, and environmental guidelines, addresses deviations, and intervenes in unsafe situations.
  • Projects: Participates in projects and executes them, focusing on practical improvements based on personal experience and knowledge.
  • Process Optimization: Identifies and analyzes trends and structural issues within the assigned area, proposes improvements, and implements them.

Qualifications and Background

  • Educational Level: MLO level 3-4 in analytical chemistry or microbiology or an equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant Experience: MLO level 3 with 2-5 years of relevant work experience or MLO level 4 with 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with quality assurance systems (GLP).
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English languages.
  • Full-time availability (40 hours) is preferred.
