Job Title: Senior Software Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Systems Engineer to join our team at Philips. As a key member of our Reliability/Availability/Maintainability/Safety Engineering team (RAMS-E), you will play a critical role in developing safe, reliable, and compliant medical products.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software that embodies Systems Engineering methodologies such as FMEA and Reliability test protocols. You will work closely with our Business Units to create high-quality working software and train and mentor engineers across Philips on how to apply FMEA and Reliability test protocols to software design and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach Software engineers on how to apply Systems Engineering to software
  • Create/review FMEA/Reliability trainings material for SW
  • Co-deliver FMEA/Reliability trainings for SW
  • Work on projects to keep hands-on quality engineering experience and stay updated with latest innovation development
  • Actively participate in the Global Philips RAMS community & promote RAMS in R&D community
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A master's degree in Software Engineering or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in Software design and development
  • Passion for applying Systems Engineering methods in the Software domain
  • R&D background and mindset with knowledge of product and software development
  • Working experience with Medical regulated environment is preferred
  • 6Sigma certifications are welcome
  • Able to explain complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms and catch people's attention
  • Strong team player
  • Will to travel up to 20 percent: deliver trainings, onsite support
