Cyber Security Specialist

GKN Aerospace is a leading aerospace supplier of systems and components, with a global presence and a commitment to innovation and sustainability. We're seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Technician to join our team and help us protect our information systems and networks from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to security threats and attacks, and investigate incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Operate security tools and collaborate with Security Operations Centre (SOC) service providers to manage incidents and maintain a high level of security awareness.
- Troubleshoot cyber security matters, including detecting security issues and vulnerabilities, and inspecting security controls.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the latest adversaries, tools, and techniques, and provide cyber security expertise to support the internal organisation in securing information systems.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a high availability and high performance infrastructure environment in a global manufacturing organisation, with a focus on security administration, systems administration, or network administration.
- Experience working in a virtual, multicultural, global environment.
- Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management, with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
- Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation, and security.
- Knowledgeable in Security Information and Event Management.
- Knowledge of system architectures and the risk impact of vulnerabilities on existing and future designs and systems.
