Senior Financial Controller

As a Senior Financial Controller at MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial performance and position of MediaMarkt Benelux are accurately monitored and analyzed. Your responsibilities will include participating in the month-end close cycle, analyzing and reporting on monthly results, and ensuring a strong administrative organization and internal control around daily, weekly, and monthly processes within the department.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the month-end close cycle by analyzing and reporting on the monthly results;
- Ensure a strong administrative organization and internal control around the daily/week/monthly processes within the department;
- Monthly forecast process around any financial changes in the month that affect the results of current and coming months;
- Comply with various reports from the head office in Germany;
- Analyze the results and discuss it with the Head of Controlling and senior leadership;
- Participate in ad-hoc projects.
- Analytically excellent professional with a good dose of ownership;
- Instinctively feel at home with large models and data sets and find your way around Excel effortlessly;
- Background in retail, wholesale, or logistics is a plus;
- Strong vision of your field, but open to new ideas and insights;
- Naturally, you are an advisory stakeholder manager;
- Accurate, entrepreneurial, and have an excellent command of English (verbally and in writing).
