The RoleThis Software Development Engineer - Cloud Architect position requires strong knowledge of deployment through environments (CI/CD) e.g. Github actions, containers/Kubernetes, Microservices Architecture, and AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on the back end, contributing to the architecture, and designing robust, high-performance, scalable applications from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and deploying microservices using Scala and Reactive programming;
- Designing and implementing scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS Cloud;
- Collaborating with designers, product owners, and other engineers to implement new features;
- Ensuring excellent coding skills and adhering to software engineering best practices;
- Maintaining a proactive attitude, self-driven, and able to work autonomously;
- Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field;
- At least 3 years of experience in a software development environment;
- Experience building server-side applications, preferably with microservices architecture;
- Demonstrated knowledge of software engineering principles in a production environment;
- Strong understanding of security practices and standards.
