Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Lead Finance Risk Data Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our data engineers in developing strategic data solutions for Finance and Risk. Your expertise in IT and Agile change will enable us to drive innovation and improve our risk management capabilities.



About the Role


The successful candidate will have 7-10 years of leadership experience in an IT change environment, with a strong background in finance and risk reporting. You will be responsible for:



  • Leading a team of 5 professionals in developing strategic data solutions for Finance and Risk
  • Initiating, implementing, and prioritizing necessary solutions for Finance and Risk
  • Timely implementation of new laws and regulations
  • Addressing new requirements from ABN AMRO regarding data submissions
  • Building dashboards/reports, data solutions, and automation for regulatory reporting for Finance and Risk
  • Analysing requirements, preparing Data Requirements Packages (DRP) for sourcing instructions to IT, and implementing them together with the IT team
  • Setting up an environment of risk awareness, in-control mindset, and continuous improvement


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Economics and/or Business administration at Master level or a similar post-graduate education, combined with an IT background
  • 7-10 years of leadership experience (functional or hierarchical) in an IT change environment in the financial services industry
  • Expertise and relevant working experience in IT and Agile change
  • Around 5 years of experience in project management
  • Affinity with Finance and Risk reporting
  • Relevant insight in latest developments in laws and regulations related to Finance and Risk (Basel IV, DGS, Definition of Default, SFR)
  • Data management background
  • You have an independent view and can translate your insights into clear advice
  • You have strong communication skills and are able to build trust in a senior environment. Good stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrable ability to think critically, implementing efficient & robust processes and show advanced analytical skills
  • Present on the workplace, have good social skills and know how to work together with and within a team.
  • Well-developed organisational sensitivity and know how to move between the different layers in the organization
  • Strong focus on risk awareness & reduction, cost control and effective control frameworks
  • Understands the importance of being compliant with law and regulations
  • Preference for bi-lingual candidates (both English & Dutch)


About the Benefits


We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:



  • A gross monthly salary ranging from €8,000 to €12,000 per month, based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • A Benefit Budget of 11% of your salary, which allows you to acquire additional employment benefits.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year, with the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • A Personal Development Budget of €1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to €3,000.
