Software QA Automation Engineer

At eVision Industry Software B.V., we are seeking a highly skilled Software QA Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks to streamline our testing process.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing software products, ensuring thorough testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to identify and share best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability.
  • Set up and manage the infrastructure for running tests, including continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Submit and track product issues found during testing, escalating them as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Mentor and train other engineers as required, promoting knowledge sharing and growth within the team.
  • Work closely with the product and development teams to contribute to planning and design, reviewing product code, and formulating test scenarios.
  • Interface with other departments to effectively communicate and resolve reported issues before product release.
  • Participate in the development of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automation testing strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with code changes that may impact test coverage and execution.
  • Initiate process improvement initiatives, understanding the core principles behind software solution architecture.
Requirements:
  • Experience with QA processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant software testing work experience.
  • Experience with Javascript or other coding languages.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture concepts - AWS/Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure/AWS DevOps, GitHub, TeamCity, SonarQube, Artifactory, GitHub actions, Terraform, etc.).
  • Experience with performance testing is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, security testing, and testing tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and drive; self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented; creative and analytical.
