Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is around €110,000 - €140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lead Data/Software Engineer to join our Data team in Amsterdam. As a hybrid role, you will be part of the Software department but also collaborate closely with other teams such as Product, Customer Success, and Strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering software aligned with the technical architecture and product roadmap, focusing on data-related applications.
  • Playing an active role in developing and maintaining our Business Intelligence platform and machine learning services.
  • Creating, deploying, and managing new and existing data pipelines essential for real-time in-product reporting, driving our SaaS platform's success.
  • Helping shape the technical strategy and providing mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborating with team members, software domain teams, and product management teams to build Harver's data-related products.
  • Engaging in integrating and analyzing data from multiple sources to inform decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of data engineering experience using Python and familiarity with software engineering practices, or at least 5 years of software engineering experience with an affinity for data engineering.
  • Experience working with relational and columnar databases (including SQL skills) and data warehousing technologies.
  • Experience with data pipelines and awareness of ETL processes and streaming technologies.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and project management.
  • A pragmatic approach to challenges, keeping the team focused and motivated on achieving results.
  • A good grasp of software engineering fundamentals and best practices.
