We are Seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer

As a Senior Application Security Engineer at Payconiq, you will play a vital role within our security team. Your primary responsibilities will include designing secure, scalable, and reusable application architectures. You will concentrate on developing high-quality cloud-based security solutions to enhance system integrity and implement robust monitoring practices. The technologies you will engage with include Docker, Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python.

In your role, you will maintain a critical perspective, utilize sound reasoning, and follow established protocols. Creativity in problem-solving will also be essential. Daily tasks will involve coding, automating security processes, and collaborating closely with the security engineering team.

As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will bring a proactive attitude, a passion for automation, an analytical approach, a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, a positive demeanor, a critical perspective, and a willingness to share knowledge.

Technical Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience with Docker, Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python
  • Experience managing self-hosted services
  • Knowledge of cloud security
  • Understanding of REST API principles
  • Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD systems
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in Python or Go
  • Ability to work effectively in a Scrum team
  • Experience in the financial/payments sector is a plus
  • Familiarity with security certifications is advantageous
