Your Role
In the dynamic environment of Markets, we provide expert advice and execute intricate financing and investment frameworks for large corporate and financial institution clients. The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) division offers a broad spectrum of capital and funding solutions, guiding clients on the appropriateness of each option. DCM also undertakes the structuring of these financial products as necessary. Our team is dedicated to fostering long-term, sustainable funding and capital relationships with financial institutions and corporate clients, positioning ourselves as the informed, proactive, and engaged 'trusted advisor' committed to delivering sound, transparent, and comprehensive guidance.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Hybrid Capital Structurer with extensive expertise in bank capital. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit rating methodologies and Solvency II regulations. By leveraging these competencies, you will enhance the DCM dialogue with financial institutions and corporate clients.
Working Environment
Within DCM, our bond origination teams concentrate solely on origination, while other teams, including Hybrid Capital, Secured Debt, and Sustainable Markets, focus on structuring and advisory services.
- FI-DCM is tasked with nurturing commercial relationships with international financial institutions (banks and insurers) whose funding strategies involve issuing debt and capital securities in the global capital markets, primarily across Europe.
- Corp-DCM maintains commercial relationships with corporations whose funding strategies include issuing debt (loans and bonds) and capital securities placed with institutional investors in the international capital markets, with a focus on Europe.
- Our team operates from multiple locations, competing directly with both continental peers and London-based investment banks. We pride ourselves on a strong team spirit and a collaborative approach, with a total DCM and Syndicate team of approximately 40 professionals dedicated to enhancing our DCM presence.
As a specialist in Hybrid Capital, you will serve as a product expert, driving in-depth discussions related to product and regulatory content initiated by our DCM originators. Should we be appointed as structuring advisor or arranger for a Hybrid Capital Instrument, you will take charge of this responsibility.
Your Profile
- Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant international work experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of bank capital regulations and DCM products, ideally gained through prior experience in an International Investment Bank, either in a Treasury department or within a DCM and/or FI Advisory team, or alternatively in a consultancy firm. A strong team player with a well-developed inquisitive nature and a commitment to delivering high-quality content.
