You will guide the organization towards becoming fully data-driven, from conceptualizing innovative ideas to orchestrating and overseeing data management projects. Your ability to quickly engage with new initiatives, shape them, and ensure their successful implementation is essential.
Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Data Management Performance Specialist, you will be responsible for defining and managing the Data Management Performance Framework. This framework is vital for providing insights into data execution across ABN AMRO, enabling the organization to align with its data and business goals. You will embody the principle: "what gets measured, gets accomplished."
Your contributions will include:
- Designing, owning, and promoting the Data Management Performance Framework throughout the organization, facilitating group-wide oversight on Data Management at the Executive Board and Supervisory Board levels;
- Establishing data management KPIs and steering elements, along with setting periodic targets for the organization;
- Building strong relationships with various Data Management stakeholders beyond the CDO and collaborating with the CDO – Portfolio Management team to enhance their operational performance management efforts.
Additionally, you will actively participate in the overall team responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing processes to formalize Data Management artifacts such as standards and guidelines;
- Offering expert guidance and support in the adoption of Data Management artifacts;
- Ensuring compliance with Data Management artifacts;
- Leading the corporate governance Data Committee;
- Enhancing awareness of Data Governance.
This position requires the ability to quickly shift contexts, a proactive approach, and strong conceptual skills, along with a solid understanding of Data Governance and Management, risk management, and the capacity to inspire stakeholders to take action.
Work EnvironmentYou will be part of the following structure:
- Central Data Office – Data Governance – Governance & Control department
- Collaboration with other departments (including Portfolio Management) within the Central Data Office to align on performance reporting
- Engagement with Data Domain Organizations to implement the Data Management Performance Framework
- Interaction with stakeholders across the organization to enhance alignment with bank-wide performance initiatives.

Your Profile- Bachelor's or Master's degree required, preferably in Information Sciences, Business Information Management, Data Management, Legal, Compliance, or a related field (such as Risk Management)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across various departments
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience
- Experience in driving KPI definitions and target-setting processes
- Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Management, or related roles (knowledge of DAMA DMBOK, Data Mesh, BCBS239, etc. is advantageous)

- Understanding of the three lines of defense model.
